Here’s Why Ohio State’s Master Teague Wears #33
Master Teague, a man of faith and committed Ohio State Buckeye.
Talented Ohio State University running back Master Teague is committed to perfecting his work on the football field. However, the man who wears “33” is even more committed to his relationship with Jesus Christ.
“Jesus was 33 when He died on the Cross for our sins. I wanted to play for Jesus Christ. So, I decided to keep that number,” said Master when asked about the two digits he wears. “It’s been a blessing that the coaches have allowed me to keep that number.”
His connection to that number goes even further. One of his favorite Bible verses is John 16:33 and the first touchdown he had at Ohio State was a 33-yard run.
Master and his father Corey are also good friends of The Church Next Door. Back in June of 2019, they both held a talk at the church about fatherhood (listen here).
While we’re thankful for their friendship, we’re ultimately inspired by their authentic devotion to our Savior Jesus.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
